I think comparing to Jo Malone, is even closer to the original scent of things. I really enjoy the fresh, natural and real feeling that it brings. One thing to clarify is that although most of the perfumes are named under a single fruit or flower, it doesn’t mean that it only contains this scent. The overall scent is still formulated with different notes. So you’ll still smell a blend of scent, but overall it’s very reminiscent of the real thing. I this post, I’ll go through 3 perfumes that I own from the range. These are morning rain, pure lily and peach blossom. Interesting how I got one of each category – fruit, floral and mixed. Packaging perfumes come in boxes of vibrant colours, which looks so adorable when placed together. The boxes have a matte finish and are well designed with the scent number and name loud and clear in the middle. Perfume Review – Outer Box The inner content is however a little less impressive. The perfume is housed in a clear plastic bottle with a black cap. It has a simple label at the front distinguishing the scents. To be honest, it’s a lot plainer than what I would expect for a perfume, especially with the plastic bottle. But if you consider the price point, it’s a lot less than your normal perfumes, so it’s not meant to be a parfum but more of a room spray. Perfume Review – Bottle Apart from the plastic, the spray actually works really well. It doesn’t leak and sprays a fine mist evenly. It also doesn’t require a lot of pressure and the shape of the bottle fits right in the hand, so it’s very easy to dispense. Perfume Review – Spray Nozzle Scent I’m not trained at describing scents, so will try my best to give you an image of it. Morning Rain This is the first scent I got from I was interested to know what morning rain smells like. It ended up being a little different than I imagined. I imagined something that’s fresh, but a little earthy where you could smell the soil and grass after a rain. The actual scent does remind of rain and water and maybe a spring floral garden that’s just been irrigated. It smells quite fresh and has that water smell, but it also has some fruitiness/sweetness to it. It didn’t smell earthy or grassy, but rather a “sea breeze” or “Mediterranean” type of smell. Perfume – Morning Rain Pure Lily This is your typical floral scent. It’s floral and musky. It screams lily, just like the fresh ones from a florist., rather strong and potent. It’s very feminine and retro, reminds me of the cosmetics in the olden days or an English mansion with floral sofa, porcelain tea sets and maybe a piano. I like to spray it in the living room or bathroom before guests come, so there’s a bit of a floral scent around the house. Perfume – Pure Lily Peach Blossom This is the scent that’s completely different to my expectation. I was expecting a light floral scent similar to the Orange Blossom by Jo Malone, with a hint of peach. But this “peach blossom” is the smell of the actual fruit. It’s sweet and fruity, like you would expect in a peach sorbet – I think that’s what it should be named. I think it’s fun and sweet, especially in the summer time. I’ve been spraying it on myself, my bed, my dog’s bed, around the house, everywhere. Perfume – Peach Blossom Use As mentioned above, I use these perfumes everywhere on my clothes, in the rooms, on couches, bed, pillow, sheets, in the air. I’m thinking of putting one in the car as well. They are fairly cheap so I don’t mind spraying a bit more and I love being immersed in nice smells. Despite the price point, the perfume is actually of great quality. The scents are prominent and consistent. They last for 3-4 hours on the clothes and fabrics. The most important thing is that they don’t have the strong alcohol smell that some cheap perfumes have. I really like the idea of the anti-microbial function. I feel my sheets are free of germs whenever I use it on my bed – although it may not be true. Price The perfumes retail for 8,500 Won, which equates to about $ AUD for 70ml of product. Normal perfumes I purchased are usually $30+ for 30ml of product and I wouldn’t list how much Jo Malone retails for. Verdict I love these perfumes. They smell great. I love the natural floral and fruity scents as opposed to the traditional blended scents. They’re so affordable that I could use them everywhere and anywhere.
